A Mom’s Digital Notebook: Tech, Books, and Curiosity

A Mom’s Digital Notebook: Tech, Books, and Curiosity

The "Why" I started this site to document how I organize my own chaos—and hopefully give you ideas on how to manage yours.

Raising three children with Montessori values in a digital world is... complicated. I often find myself spending hours researching how to find specific French books for a Kobo, or how to set up a device so it encourages creativity instead of passive consumption.

Once I figure it out, I don't want that knowledge to disappear. I want to share it.

Not "The" Way, But "A" Way I am not here to tell you how to parent. I don't believe there is one "right" way to handle technology. Every family is different.

But I can show you what I am doing. I can share the links I’ve found, the settings I use, and the logic behind my choices. If my research saves you two hours of frustration on a Saturday morning, then this community has done its job.

Who Am I? I’m a mom with over 20 years of experience in IT. I speak the language of servers and code, but my most important work is happening right here at home. I am navigating the same struggles you are: balancing screen time, fostering independence, and trying to keep the digital world a safe, interesting place for my kids to explore.

What You’ll Find Here

  • The Technical: Practical guides on devices (like that upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 or your old tablets).
  • The Resources: Curation of books, apps, and links that feed curiosity (like where to find great French literature for kids).
  • The Journey: Honest stories about what works for us, and what doesn't.

The Promise This space is free. It is a library of my findings, open to anyone who needs it. Take what helps, leave what doesn't.
